It has the characteristics of uniform high-strength fibers, and the wet strength is about 50% of the dry strength, which is better than the performance of viscose and has better spinnability and wearability. And it has a high wet modulus, and the shrinkage rate of the yarn is only about 1%, while the boiling water shrinkage rate of the viscose fiber yarn is as high as 6.5%.
Its knitted fabric is mainly used to make underwear, but Modal has the characteristics of silvery white luster, excellent dyeability, and bright color after dyeing, and can also be used for outerwear.
Maintenance of Modal fabrics:
1. When wearing, try to reduce friction and pulling, and change and wash frequently to prevent long-term wear and deformation; after washing, drying, and ironing, the clothes should be stacked flat, separated by dark and light colors, and should not be hung in the wardrobe for a long time. to avoid elongation and deformation;
2. Modal has strong hygroscopicity, and mildew caused by high temperature, high humidity, and unclean environment should be prevented during collection; low-temperature pad cloth is required for ironing when ironing, and push and pull should be used less when ironing so that the clothes can be stretched and aligned naturally.
3. When washing with water, it should be soaked with washing, and the soaking time should not exceed 15 minutes. The viscose fabric will become hard when exposed to water, and the fiber structure is very weak. When washing, it should be washed lightly to avoid fluff or cracks.
