Lining is an indispensable production process in suit-making. As a traditional design process, the role of lining fabrics is very important.
1. Reduce friction
As a jacket, a suit jacket needs to be matched with underwear, such as shirts, T-shirts, vests, or sweaters. If a suit jacket does not have that smooth lining, putting on and taking off clothes and daily activities will cause a certain amount of wear and tear on the fabric of the suit and underwear.
On the other hand, a suit without a lining is prone to generate static electricity due to friction, which will cause the suit to stick to the underwear and cause the original shape of the suit to be out of shape.
Due to the different range of motion and tension between the body and the arms, usually, the bodice and armbands are lined with different fabrics.
2. Warming effect
The suit is fully lined, which will keep you warm to a certain extent. The so-called full lining refers to the full width of the front of the suit, as well as the full width of the back, with lining fabrics. Traditional suits are fully lined.
With the development of modern times, the means of keeping warm is more complete. At the same time, the diversified development of suits, especially people's changes in the elements of casual suits, and in order to meet the requirements of wearing suits in spring and autumn, while the fabric is light and thin, half lining is used. Even unlined suits are more suitable for this segment.
Semi-lined means that the reverse side of the suit is lined only for the upper part of the front and back.
